Unboxing: Fairy Loot ‘Classic Twist’ Box

Hello lovelies! I’m doing a Fairy Loot unboxing! I received this subscription box for the first time last month and absolutely fell in love with it. I’ve never liked the look of any other subscription boxes enough to actually purchase one, but this one is definitely a game changer.

If you don’t already know what Fairy Loot is then let me explain. It’s a YA book subscription box which comes with a bunch of book related goodies every month. Along with things like bookmarks, Funkos, jewellery etc, the box also delivers a relatively new hardback book along with a letter from the author. This month’s theme is Classic Twist, if you’d like to find out more then visit: www.fairyloot.com.

Beware for spoilers if you haven’t received your June Fairy Loot box yet!

I’ve never done one of these posts before, so bare with me lol.

Here’s the outside of the box and what you see when you first open it up (I love the little additional touches of the quote and social media links) Ps. I know my box is a little bit mangled, damn you mailman!:

When I looked in the box I found this stunning little card (it has the contents of the box on the back, so I won’t reveal the other side until the end). It is so beautiful and matches perfectly with the ‘Classic Twist’ theme, this is definitely getting put on my wall:

Now on to the really exciting stuff. I nearly screamed when I realised that there was a full sized Funko in this box, and when I found out which character it was, I was extra hyped:

Ahhh, it’s Mr Darcy! And the super badass Pride and Prejudice and Zombies version of him as well (I actually haven’t seen this movie yet but it’s definitely at the top of my to-see list). I love this little Funko so much, he’s sitting tight next to my copy of Pride and Prejudice on my bookshelf 🙂

Next up is… a scented candle *prances with joy*:

Not only is this little candle adorable, I can also vouch for the fact that it smells delightful. I absolutely adore scented candles and can’t wait to add this one to my collection!

As all of you book lovers know, you can never have too many bookmarks. So when I found these in my Fairy Loot box, well, you can imagine my joy…:

I think these might just be my new favourite bookmarks. They’re up there with my cute little magnet Will, Tessa and Jem ones 🙂

And, of course, a subscription box just wouldn’t be the same if it didn’t include some book related jewellery:Collage_Fotorjhbgfc.jpg

I’ll definitely be wearing both of these items out and about when I’m feeling especially bookish (I imagine the dove earrings will leave me feeling very Tris Prior).

Along with these two lovely pieces of jewellery, I also received a cute mini Pride and Prejudice watercolour poster. This little poster is beautiful, I’ve already stuck it up on my wall next to my Legolas one from last month’s box:

And last, but by certainly no means least, we have this month’s book:

This book’s synopsis sounds pretty good and it came along with a signed book plate, bookmark, promotional card and a letter from Julie Eshbaugh herself! I can’t begin to explain how genuinely excited these little letters and books make me every month 🙂

Here’s the card explaining everything that’s inside the box and where all of these goodies came from:

Honestly, I really feel like I get value for money with this subscription box because there’s so many goodies inside! And they’re super high quality as well. This box has also introduced me to a bunch of new online stores where I can purchase bookish things (and I always need more bookish items in my life). I highly, highly suggest this box, and Fairy Loot offers worldwide shipping so you have no excuses not to try this one out! 🙂 Ps. My unique Fairy Loot hashtag for this month is #fairylootonyx, if you have the matching one then let me know!

So there you have it, my first ever unboxing post! I hope you all enjoyed this and consider purchasing this box for yourself, it is definitely worth it! Next month’s Fairy Loot theme is “Pirates and Power” which is going to be amazing, so watch out for my unboxing of that 🙂

Ps. Do any of you know if there is any good YA book podcasts out there? I used to really like The Split but that doesn’t run anymore :/cfghj

  1. Awh this box looks lovely! I’ve not had a subscription box yet (except for Lootcrate) but some of them don’t seem all that good value considering they are usually around £30 but this one looks great. Unfortunately the June box is long gone and the July has sold out so I guess I’ll have to wait even longer to get to try an unboxing of my own!

  2. Gorgeous pictures! I got this box too and absolutely fell in love, it was my first subscription box and I didn’t expect it to be so great. I sadly didn’t get Pirates and Power but that’s ok, I can’t wait to see what you get in the July Box. The August theme sounds fab!
